Aransas Pass Methodist Beliefs
Rooted in God's Word. Centered on Jesus Christ.

Our beliefs are grounded in Scripture and reflect the historic Christian faith. Everything we teach, every ministry we serve through, and every decision we make is guided by God's truth, centered on Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

God

There is one true God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

He is the Creator of all things, perfect in holiness, love, justice, mercy, and truth. God desires a personal relationship with every person and faithfully keeps His promises.

Jesus Christ

The Son of God, fully God and fully man.

He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose again on the third day, and now reigns as Lord. Through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus offers forgiveness, new life, and eternal hope to all who place their faith in Him.

The Holy Spirit

God's active presence in the lives of believers.

He comforts, convicts, teaches, equips, and empowers us to grow in our faith and faithfully follow Jesus Christ. Through the Holy Spirit, we are transformed to reflect the character of Christ and serve others with love.

The Bible

The inspired and authoritative Word of God.

The final authority for Christian faith and life, revealing God's character, His plan of salvation, and His will for our lives. Scripture is the foundation of our faith, the guide for daily living, and the standard by which we measure all truth.

Salvation

We believe salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

It cannot be earned through good works or personal effort. Through Christ, we are forgiven, made new, adopted into God's family, and invited into a lifelong journey of growing in faith and becoming more like Him.

The Church

The body of Christ, called to worship God, make disciples, care for one another, and share the hope of the Gospel.

At AP Methodist Church, we strive to be a family of faith where people are welcomed, encouraged, and equipped to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ while serving our community with His love.

Baptism

A sacrament established by Jesus Christ and a sign of God's grace at work in our lives.

Through baptism, we publicly identify with Christ and celebrate the new life He offers. Whether baptized as an infant or as a believer, baptism reminds us that we belong to God and are called to follow Him faithfully.

Holy Communion

A sacrament of God's grace and a remembrance of Christ's sacrifice.

Through Communion, we remember His death, celebrate His resurrection, and proclaim the hope we have through Him. All who place their faith in Jesus Christ are welcome to receive Communion with us.

Our Mission

To glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ.

Everything we do—from Sunday worship and Bible studies to children's ministry, outreach, and missions—is centered on helping people know Jesus, grow in their faith, and share His love with the world. We believe the Christian life is meant to be lived in community, and we invite everyone to join us as we worship, serve, and grow together.

Questions About Our Beliefs?

Faith is a journey, and we understand that everyone has questions. Whether you're exploring Christianity for the first time, returning to church after many years, or searching for a church home, we would love the opportunity to meet you, answer your questions, pray with you, and grow together in God's Word.

We invite you to join us this Sunday and experience the love of Christ through a community of believers committed to worshiping God, serving others, and living out the Gospel every day.
