I'm New
We're Glad You're Here. Let Us Help You Feel at Home

Welcome to AP Methodist Church

We're so glad you're considering a visit to AP Methodist Church! Visiting a new church can bring a lot of questions, so we've answered a few of the most common ones below. If you don't find the answer you're looking for, we'd love to hear from you.

What Is It Like?

Our Sunday worship service begins at 10:00 AM and typically concludes around 11:15 AM. Each service includes a warm welcome, announcements, Scripture readings and liturgy, worship, prayer, and a biblical message from Pastor Scott that is both encouraging and rooted in God's Word. Following the message, you're invited to respond during the altar call, and we close each service by singing The Family of God together. You'll experience a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary worship, led by Barb Bilger. We currently use accompaniment tracks as our church continues to grow, allowing us to focus on worshiping together and lifting our voices in praise.

What About My Kids?

Children are an important part of our church family. We offer a nursery for toddlers and younger children, while older children remain in the worship service and participate in a special Children's Moment designed just for them. Our desire is for every child to know they are loved, valued, and growing in their relationship with Christ.

Where Do I Park?

Parking is available along 8th Street directly in front of the church, as well as in the parking lot located at the corner of 8th Street and Nelson Avenue. When you arrive, you'll be welcomed with a smile, and you'll notice many of our volunteers and staff wear name tags, making it easy to ask questions or simply introduce yourself.

What Should I Wear?

Come as you are. Some attend in jeans while others prefer more traditional Sunday attire. What matters most to us isn't what you're wearing—it's that you feel welcomed and comfortable from the moment you walk through our doors.

How Can I Get Connected?

The best way to get connected is simply to keep coming. Introduce yourself, stay for a few minutes after the service, attend one of our Bible studies or ministry events, and get to know the people around you. You'll quickly discover that AP Methodist Church is more than a place to attend on Sundays—it's a family growing together in faith.

Communion

We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month, and all who place their faith in Jesus Christ are welcome to participate. Communion is a meaningful time of remembering Christ's sacrifice and celebrating the grace we have through Him.

We Can't Wait to Meet You

One of our favorite parts of Sunday morning happens after the service ends. People gather, visit, laugh, catch up on the week, and more often than not, start deciding where everyone is going to lunch. That's just who we are.

Our hope is that when you leave your first visit, you won't just remember the message or the music—you'll leave feeling like you've found a church family. We would be honored to welcome you this Sunday.
